MISS JESSICA

PRESCHOOL COACH

A member of the Capitol City coaching staff since November of 2021, Miss Jessica uplifts the flow and culture of our community with her positive attitude and commanding presence. She began gymnastics classes at age five in North Carolina, and the most gratifying part of Miss Jessica’s career as a gymnast was mastering new skills. Fortunately for us, she is eager to help our athletes do the same. “Don’t ever say ‘can’t,’” she tells gymnasts. “Trust yourself and trust that I will be there to help.”

Miss Jessica understands kids’ fears about facing new challenges, whether it’s walking across the tallest balance beam in the gym or riding the bus on the first day of kindergarten. “It’s okay to be scared. That feeling when you finally nail that skill will be the best feeling ever.” Like the rest of the CCG staff, Miss Jessica doesn’t use intimidation, criticism, or pressure. Instead, she helps athletes identify their fears, then conquer them by focusing on smaller goals (like learning a bridge) while working toward big objectives (like learning a back walkover).

Miss Jessica substitute-coaches our rec and preschool classes, supervises open gyms and birthday parties, and offers private lessons. She loves CCG because of the family atmosphere.
